Dominic’s Bauhaus Nativity Scene

My parish church, St Cuthbert’s in Wells Somerset, has an exhibition of upwards of 200 nativity scenes every year. They are of every shape and size, come from all over the world, are made of just about every material. They are based on the collection of Sue Harding, a stalwart soprano in our choir. I was particularly taken by the simplicity of this nativity, which identifies itself even when it is not surrounded by others. I have added two angels on the manger, an ox and ass, and two sheep. The pink ‘king’ is a lady king, or ‘wise woman’ for political correctness (or is it?).
